Junior Police Academy
Because the program demands the very best from its participants, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Students must be in Grade 7 or Grade 8 and maintain a “C” average. Students who have below a “C” average may ask for a waiver. Further information regarding this waiver may be obtained from Lieutenant DeVoe.
2. Students must not have been charged with any Complaint of Juvenile Delinquency or referred to the Juvenile Conference Committee. Students having a conflict with this requirement may contact Lieutenant DeVoe.
3. Students must not be involved with any form of substance abuse (i.e., vapes, cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, etc.).
4. Attendance is mandatory in order to successfully complete the program. Certain exceptions may be made for conflicts in schedule, including, but not limited to, sports programs, school related functions, religious obligations, etc. Students may contact Lieutenant DeVoe for further information regarding absences.
5. Students must complete all sections of the online application at www.RiverValeNJ.org.
6. Parents/Guardians and students must complete the Hold Harmless Agreement in the online Application.
Applications are available ONLINE ONLY through www.RiverValeNJ.org and will be accepted until and no later than 10/04/2019.
Incomplete applications will NOT be processed – every section of the form must be completed. Please note that class size may be limited and all stages of acceptance to the Junior Police Academy will be based on the order the applications are submitted.

Unless otherwise noted, all Junior Police Academy classes will be held at the Holdrum School on Monday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and the program will last for approximately 10 weeks.

Please note that the anticipated start of the program is Monday, 10/21/2019. All classes will be held on Monday evenings unless otherwise noted.
